Waterman Expedition - Greening of the Arctic

The wide expanse of brush blanketing this vista demonstrates a phenomenon known as “Greening of the Arctic.” Rising temperatures have caused an increase in vegetation over the past several years. The impact of this phenomenon on Arctic habitats is the subject of a number of studies around the Arctic Circle from Alaska to Russia.
